Inside the Life + Times of Dessy Hinds, Exec Prod., Songwriter 

Q&A w/ Dessy Hinds on his New EP, Travel, Songwriting, New Album & Sustainability

Q: What inspired the writing on Vol II: Heart Her & Isolate?
A: A lot of it came from last summer — just pure admiration for women. Some were out of reach at the time, but eventually became closer to what I was writing about. I was also traveling a lot, especially to Miami, and that energy bled into the music.

Q: You call it a “4-pack” instead of an EP — why?
A: To me, it’s not a full project, it’s more of an update until my LP. Just a four-song capsule of where I’m at right now.

Q: What themes can listeners expect throughout the project?
A: Luxury, cuisine, travel, sensitivity, relationships, sex, late nights, and just real emotions. Some of it was written in a garage, some on a plane — it’s a mix of my lifestyle and my mindset in the moment.

Q: Who did you collaborate with on this project?
A: I kept it close with my boys WesWill and Safa Gaw. On another note, the NFL licensed one of my records with Vlad from Belgium and Nico Baran — that was a big moment for me.

Q: Outside the music, what’s been keeping you grounded?
A: Spending time with family, traveling — I just got back from France for my cousin’s wedding. Learning the business side with my distro partners at United Masters & TuneCore. It’s about sustainability, independence, and smart moves.

Q: What’s next for Dessy Hinds?
A: More new music, more creative assets my supporters can invest in, and just building something that lasts beyond me. I’m focused on both quality and quantity, but without losing peace of mind. At the end of the day, I just want to live luxuriously with the things I value more than money.
